The Wine Guide by Travel Envoy 1998 COTURRI Cabernet Sauvignon, California With all the hype about "cult" wines from California, I believe Tony Coturri to be at the forefront. This is with out a doubt the strangest Cabernet I have ever tasted in my life. (and I LOVE cabernets) The nose offered up bramble and herb notes. The palate tasted EXACTLY like dill and salt, but I didn't find it offensive. Very different and definitely not for everyone, but worth a try. Pair with soft cheeses. About $30 09/24/02 David |
