High Style - The Magazine for Guests of Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts - Autumn/Winter 2004 - feature story - Natural Selection - Third-generation winemaker Tony Coturri opens the gates of his family run, organic winery to Farhad Heydari. "I am making wine in a tradition that has been employed for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Our grandfathers all made wine this way, I didn't invent it, yet I am considered one of the most controversial winemakers in America today."
Controversial or enlightened, Coturri's argument hasn't fallen on deaf ears. To the contrary, it has gathered steam, especially from the all organic set and those participating in the burgeoning Slow Food movement.
