Houston Chronicle, June 29, 2004 - in a feature article wine writer Michael Lonsford had a magical dining experience when chef Tim Keating at the Four Seasons Hotel in Houston matched roasted lobster, sole and lobster "caviar" with saffron-tarragon polenta, olives, chiles, peppers and fennel with the 2001 P. Coturri Zinfandel and the 2001 Coturri Forsythe Vineyards Zinfandel.
In a separate column called WINE FIND Lonsford writes: "The Coturri "Forsythe Vineyards" Zinfandel comes from a vineyard in an area known as the Lovell Valley loop -- with half of the valley in Sonoma and half in Napa. It is a box canyon with access only from the Sonoma side. While carrying the name of the Napa Valley, the Forsythe Zinfandel is all Sonoma Valley fruit, some of which is from the 19th-century Martini Monte Rosso (Red Mountain) clone. The wine is deep and dense, spicy and a bit leaner than the other Coturri jammy zins."
