Nashville City Paper - May 23, 2002 - Leave it to the ladybugs with new organic wine
Coturri Zinfandel Ô99
"This is the kind of wine Jerry Garcia would have made if he had become a winemaker. Coturri's style is not only organic but old-fashioned. He has been ostracized by most of his peers and is considered an outcast by some. I personally think this makes him that much cooler. His wines are like nothing I've ever tasted before. This Zin is almost port-like in its density. It shows powerful black berries and licorice. The tannins are also strong; however, with all of that fruit, it is held in balance." The City Paper
