The Press Democrat - January 27, 2005 - Food columnist Michele Anna Jordan - Have a Wild Thyme: On Feb. 4, Coturri Winery of Sonoma joins with Wild Thyme Catering to celebrate the vineyards and growers of Sonoma Valley. The fete features a six-course menu, beginning at 6:30p.m. at Wild Thyme Library (19030 Railroad Ave., El Verano). Among the courses are roasted quail on mustard greens with Coturri 2001 Jewel Vineyards Pinot Noir, Sonoma duck breast with foie gras and Coturri 2000 Crane Vineyards Syrah, and bittersweet chocolate mousse with Sharp Cellars 2001 Hailey's Creek Vineyard Zinfandel (a wine we tasted recently during a visit with Vance Sharp, founder of the winery; it is a lusty delight). Winemaker Tony Coturri and Keith and Joanne Fillepello of Wild Thyme Catering will host the evening. The cost is $50; for reservations call 996-0900 or visit www.wildthymeevents.com.
